BizTech Solutions provides personalized technology solutions to businesses, making it easy to grow, scale and do business better. Our comprehensive support is delivered by real, helpful people who want to see your business perform at its peak.

We’re a locally-owned business of friendly folks based out of Bozeman, Montana, and we’ve been helping organizations in the Rocky Mountain region for decades. In the world of technology service providers, we saw a need for tech help that’s personable, responsive and doesn’t load you up with a bunch of techno mumbo-jumbo that doesn’t mean anything to you. We’re on a mission to become the most personable IT experts in the universe and make businesses better in the process.

James Hodges

Owner

Tech guru and owner James began his career while in the United States Marine Corps in 2002, training in setup and deployment of tactical networks. After three tours in Iraq, he took his skills to civilian life as the Technical Account Manager at Oracle, working as a project manager to support multiple multimillion-dollar contracts in both legacy and FedRAMP environments. His experience ranges from network design and virtualization to VoIP phone systems and compliance.

With roots in Big Timber, Montana, James loves archery, hunting and crushing local ultra-marathons. He and Ashley have three children together: Taryn (16), Aubrie (12), and Liam (5).

Ashley Hodges

Owner, Client Relations

Ashley brings a unique client-side perspective to the BizTech team, with 25 years of customer service in her pocket. Prior to moving her focus to the technology world, she was the practice manager for a busy surgical center in Bozeman, Montana. During her time there, she was the main point of contact for technology needs as well as the practice’s relationship manager. Ashley’s seen business IT from all sides, as a technology end-user and as a provider, allowing her to bridge the gaps between the businesses we support and our technology experts. She grew up surrounded by technology. Her father was a computer programmer, and their family owned the very first model of Macintosh computers, the Macintosh 128 K.

Ashley enjoys spending time with her family outdoors – camping, hiking and exploring everything Montana has to offer. Fun fact: Ashley’s held some pretty odd jobs over the years as an MC for a trained animal show, high school art teacher, event planner, surgical assistant, dance instructor, and she once even wrestled an alligator (thanks Reptile Gardens).

Brent Wilder

Senior Systems Engineer

Born in Colorado at the USAF Academy and raised in Custer, South Dakota, Brent studied information technology at the University of Missoula before diving into the technology industry as a professional in Alaska. He joined BizTech in 2018, bringing his wealth of experience with him. Brent has supported a user base of more than 4,700 and has monitored and configured IPS, IDS and SIEM deployments for customers as well as the hosting ISP. He’s specialized in performing security audits for clients in order to help them maintain compliance. Brent has also managed virtual infrastructure leveraging vSphere, Hyper-V, Nimble Storage, NetApp filers, Cisco ASAs, FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls, Nessus and AlienVault USM deployments in federated environments. Is your brain hurting yet? He’s deployed and maintained infrastructure as code via Chef, Git, Vagrant and terraform to provide desired state configurations and deployed new Linux infrastructure for customer-facing LDAP, RADIUS and public DNS servers. (Deep breath.) Brent has also been responsible for multiple migrations from on-premises Exchange to Office 365, as well as document migration from on-premise file servers to SharePoint Online. Basically, he’s a big tech nerd who understands far more about business technology than most people would ever want to. In his free time, Brent steps away from the computer to fish, hunt, play golf and hockey, and do other Montana things with his wife Kelsey and their two daughters, Keira and Nora.

Clayton Gardenhire

Support Technician

Clayton has a love for all things technology, started trying to build my own computer with spare parts when I was in middle school, finishing up a undergraduate degree in psychology, moved to Bozeman in 2016.

In his free time he loves fishing, anything with a board or wheels, video games, trying new stuff with raspberry pis, and playing retros on my SNES.
